welcome to south wootton events

The idea for South Wootton Events started back in 2013, with a vision to bring back the traditional summer fete on the village green – an event that hadn’t been held in over 15 years.

A small team of volunteers were sought and worked hard together to deliver the first South Wootton Village Fete in June 2014 – which raised several hundreds of pounds for the local community. In June 2015, a Black Tie charity event was added to the events schedule and despite heavy rain, the second Village Fete was well attended and financially successful.

2016 was our most successful year to date, with £3000 raised from our Charity Ball, a sunshine soaked Summer Fete and a Christmas Crafts & Carols event which despite being very wet, was full of lots of SW Community spirit! In addition, 2017 will bring The South Wootton Beer Festival – our first ever 2 day event, over the August Bank Holiday weekend which is being organised in collaboration with the Round Table. Please check our events page for more information.

As a voluntary organisation, our events rely heavily on the support of local businesses, many of whom, donate time, products and money, to ensure the events can go ahead – please check our sponsors page to find out more or if you are interested in becoming a sponsor or volunteer please see below.

We welcome your ideas and suggestions – we have raised several thousands of pounds to date and would love to continue to support local causes – please get in touch if you would like to discuss a particular fundraising project or charitable cause.

If you are interested in supporting our events, either as a sponsor, supplier, trader or entertainer, please contact us for further information – Thankyou!
